Developer Discussion - Post page Title

Hi Is there a way to use the name of the specific post within the html head title tag? It seems to just use the page title of the web page. I'm testing the search with posts and the search results return a list of identical page titles. Many thanks

Hi Steven,

The default xsl contains a section near the top called a head override, this allows dynamic pages like post pages to change the title of the page along with other items normaly in the head of a page. You can find more information about how to configure this allong some examples in our syntax guide.

If you find any other tags you might want to replace in the head reply to me here as we are looking at posibly extending the functionality of this snippit.

Cheers,

Niall

Hi

I can get the page title and page description to appear correctly in each of the specific post pages. However, the search results correctly pick up the name of the individual post page but uses the description of the parent list page instead.

eg http://www.nelcsu.nhs.uk/search.htm?sitekit=true&task=search&indexname=NELCSUPublic&search=IT+solutions

The post detail page shows the correct title but displays the description from the parent post web page

Is there a way round this?
