Developer Discussion - Time specific sections of content

Posted on 24 July 2014

We can use conditional statements to define when sections of content on a page appear and disappear BY DATE, but not by time. Our box office is going down for maintenance between 2.45am and 6.30am tomorrow, right, and so I want a message on our home page ONLY APPEARING DURING THAT TIME. Obviously with the right bit of dev wizardry we could harness Magic Words to make this happen but there's something in your system preventing this. To lighten the load, here's a picture of a pig eating another one.

Hi Dave, welcome to the forums. In answer to your question you can use the datetimestring magic word which was introduced in Sitekit CMS 9.6.

Just one last thing, welcome discussion from everyone though we hope those using the forum adhere to our 3 Forum Rules. We're sure your picture has been posted with the best of intentions though we think it likely falls outside of rule 2. To ensure no one is offended by the picture you posted we've removed it in this instance. The text within your post remains unchanged.

Please speak in English for my benefit.

If I wanted to show two lines of text:

Our leisure centre is shut today.

But we’ll be open from 9.30am tomorrow.

What would I need to add to start showing that at 8.30pm tonight, but stop displaying at 9.29am tomorrow?
