Asset usage analyser

The purpose of the Asset Usage Analyser is to assist in displaying the coverage of asset classes, and to show whether they are being applied correctly.

To view and edit the asset usage for an asset folder:

  1. Click on Asset View to display the asset tree.
  2. Right click the asset folder whose permissions you want to edit and select Permissions. Click on Asset Usage Analyser. The Asset Usage Analyser window opens.
  3. Each folder has a default asset class, the assets within the folder that also have that class applied are coloured in green. Any asset that has a different asset class applied is coloured in red and the asset class used is shown in the right hand column. The view shows all the elements including sub-folders and their contents under the chosen folder
  4. The default class for the chosen folder is displayed as the selected items in the drop down list at the top of the window. If you want to apply this same class to any of the red items then click the select box alongside the respective items and then click Apply Class to Selected Assets
  5. If you want to apply a different asset class to any assets in the table, click on the name of the asset in question. This will open the standard asset permissions window for that asset alone.
