Code editing, line numbers and syntax highlighting
From Sitekit CMS 11 code editing includes advanced features to make writing markup easier. The advanced editor is enabled when editing:
- Content layouts (.scl)
- Page layouts (.spl)
- Cascading Style Sheet files (.css)
- Extensible Markup Language or XML files (.xml)
- Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformation or XSLT files (.xsl)
- Javascript files (.js)
- Variable block HTML editor
The advanced editing features include:
- line numbering
- syntax highlighting e.g. CSS attributes show red if invalid
- automatic tag closing
- highlighted start and end tags
- automatically indented lines
- block indenting (select multiple rows and press tab)
- line wrapping
The advanced editor is not currently available in the Source View Page Editor or the Script Manager.
The advanced editor can be disabled by changing your user preferences.
