Active directory
The Sitekit CMS offers the option of providing Active directory based authentication of several types. There's more on the general authentication types on offer here. For deployed systems using Windows integrated authentication (WIA or IWA) it's possible to hook up the CMS with the local Active directory in order to provide seamless unchallenged authentication. These users will not be anonymous however they can only belong to multiple groups. The Active directory setting allows you to set the master group they'll belong to. Note that the section below is only visible for deployed servers.
- Click on the checkbox to indicate that you want to use active directory settings
- Select from the drop down one of the existing groups that you want to use as the master group of AD users.
- Publish to save the result.
As well as the above interface settings a lot more configuration needs done at server in terms of LDAP connection strings and configuration of WIA on the server. These are detailed in the WIA authentication help here.
